6 Alcohol Free Beers That You Need To Try

Recently I’ve been trying to get fit and have started running using the app couch to 5k. This app has really helped motivate me with running as I’ve tried running before but found it hard and given up quickly, this app really helps you ease your way into running by slowly increasing the amount you run each week and I’m really starting to enjoy it!

In a quest to get fit and eat and drink healthier I’ve started trying out alcohol free beers. Drinking alcohol can lead to weight gain, longer recovery after exercise and reduces fat burning, hindering your fitness goals.

Good Stuff Drinks kindly gifted me some beers to try out, they also stock a range of ciders and wines. The company was created to find drinks you love without the alcohol. You won’t find anything over 0.5% alcohol so any drink you choose will be non-alcoholic. Their aim is to “Help other health conscious drinkers find and enjoy great tasting low alcohol wines and beer”

If you love the taste of beer but don’t want the weight gain or hangovers that alcohol can cause then it’s worth trying out some non alcoholic beers. I also love that the selection of beers are from local British independent breweries. Here are 6 of the beers that I tried:

Overall review

I was surprised at the taste of the alcohol free beers, thinking they would taste extremely different to alcoholic beers. Whilst they do taste different they still taste very similar. If you have a favourite beer, it’s worth checking on Good Stuff Drinks to see if they have your favourite brand alcohol free, so you can still enjoy the taste but without the hangover. I was also surprised at how low calories many of these beers are! They even have beer selection pack with all beers under 50 calories.
