Arundel Castle & Gardens, West Sussex
Last month, Mum and I went for a day trip to Arundel Castle. We had such a nice time exploring the old medieval castle and wandering around the beautiful gardens. The restored medieval castle is based in Arundel in West Sussex. Founded at the end of the 11th century the castle was originally home to the Dukes of Norfolk. I was unable to take photos of inside the castle as photography is not permitted there, but the architecture’s lovely and is worth a look around. I would definitely recommend visiting the gardens too. There’s lots of different areas to explore such as the rose garden and glass houses. My favourite area was…

Harepath House Rural Retreat in Wiltshire
Harepath House Wiltshire This beautiful accommodation is set in the heart of Wiltshire in Bishops Cannings near Devizes. The location is perfect, rural with lovely views but still walk able to the local village. We arrived on the Friday evening and the owner Claire was there to greet us and show us to the room. She was very thorough with this, from showing us how to work the heating to providing menus for the local pub. She really made the place feel like our home for the weekend. The self contained studio apartment has its own entrance so you have your own privacy and is well equipped with everything you…

Giggling Squid Thai Restaurant Review, Guildford
The other week me and Sam went to Giggling Squid in Guildford to try out their evening menu. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated quickly and offered drinks promptly. Sam ordered a Chang which is a popular beer in Thailand and I went for a Merlot red wine. We ordered some prawn crackers as we made our menu choices. You get a large portion and it comes with a sweet chilli sauce which was delicious although I ended up spilling it everywhere. I’m such a messy eater! There’s such a lot of dishes to choose from but I opted for the Sleeping honey duck with orange salad. I asked for…
