Granada has one of the most fascinating history’s in all of Spain. It’s home to the great Alahambra fortress and the old Moorish neighbourhood of Albaicín. Alahambra is the greatest surviving relic of southern Spain’s 800 years under Moorish rule, between the 8th and 15th centuries. It’s a must visit attraction with beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada peaks. No visit to Granada would be complete without visiting the oldest neighbourhood and former Arabic quarter of Albaicín. Here you can wander around the narrow cobbled streets, head to the viewpoint or visit a lively flea market every Saturday.
