How To Survive a Long Haul Flight & Giveaway
Long haul travel can be tiresome so here are my tips to make the journey easier:
Wear comfortable clothes
Wearing several loose layers is ideal as you can adjust your temperature as you fly, being blasted by a powerful air con can get a bit chilly. Keep jewellery in your cabin bag as it can get in the way when trying to sleep. Also bring some comfy shoes or cosy slipper socks with you.
Use an eye mask
Trying to sleep on a plane is a lot easier with an eye mask so you can block out any light and go to sleep when you want.
Move around on the plane
Keep the circulation flowing in your legs by getting up every now and again. It also helps avoid the risk of developing deep vein thrombosis.
Bring a neck pillow
I find it so hard to fall asleep without a neck pillow when travelling on a plane or in a car, my head just flops about and I keep waking up.
Stay hydrated
It’s easy to get dehydrated whilst flying especially if your drinking alcohol, so remember to keep drinking water. Your skin can get dehydrated too so bring a moisturiser with you.
Carry a power bank with you
My phone battery doesn’t last that long so I try and always carry a power bank with me. Luckily for you I have teamed up with Destination 2 to give away a power bank, so you don’t run out of power on your travels. It’s great to have a fully charged mobile when you land so you can get in contact with family or use Google maps to figure out where you’re going.
