London cocktail week with Jägermeister

Recently Sam and I visited brick lane to enjoy some Jägermeister cocktails cocktails in celebration of London cocktail week.

The event was held over three unique spaces at the cocktail village, showcasing a huge variety of spirits and cocktails. Each cocktail was £6 which is reasonably priced for cocktails in London.

Jägermeister was the official sponsor of London Cocktail Week. They showcased the drink at Der Wald Pop-up bar. The bar had an enticing German forest theme. Jägermeister always reminds me of my uni days, drinking cheap jägerbombs so I was intrigued to see what it would taste like in a cocktail.

Jägermeister Cocktails

I went for their signature cocktail Jägermeister’s mule filled with, ginger beer, orange and lemon grass bitters complete with a shot of a jäger. The ginger beer worked really well in this drink giving it a sweet and fiery taste.

They had a range of cocktails to choose from: Black Magic, Manifest Hunter’s Tea, Jägermeister Sour, Jungle Hunt and Manifest on the Rocks, plus Jägermeister’s signature cocktail – Jägermeister Mule. Jägermeister Ice Cold Shots, perfectly served at -18°.

Jägermeister Recipe

Here’s the recipe to create a Jägermeister Mule at home!
What you’ll need (per drink): 50ml ice-cold Jägermeister, 15ml Ginger beer, Cucumber, 3 Dashes of orange and lemon grass bitters, Soda, Mint leaves, Lime, Ice cubes, Long drink glasses
How to Make
Step 1: Dash Jägermeister and the ginger beer over ice in your glass
Step 2: Top up with your favourite soda
Pro Tip: Ginger beers come in many different brands and tastes, from syrup-sweet to eye-wateringly spicy. Don’t be afraid to experiment to find your perfect combination.
Step 3: Decorate with a wedge of cucumber cut length-wise, mint leaves, orange wedges and lime chunks to taste. Enjoy!

I also tried out some of the other drink brands, I really enjoyed the winter rum punch from Tails. The St Germain cocktails were also really nice, the area had a flower wall and you had to put a token in for the cocktail you wanted and then a hand pops out with the cocktail when it’s ready!

Jägermeister cocktails

London cocktail week reminded me of taste London, with lots of different drinks and areas to explore it’s a really fun way to spend a few hours. Unfortunately, when we went it was raining and there was a few areas outside so it got a bit chilly at times, but I’d recommend visiting London cocktail week next year.
