Monthly Round Up with Tea and Chocolate Event

Tea and Chocolate Event

I visited Whittard’s tea room in Convent garden for a fun evening of tea and chocolate pairing. For the event we were joined by a special guest from Maison Pierre Marcolini, the premium Belgium Chocolatier to teach us the secret to luxury chocolate making. We were also joined by the Whittard team to teach us all about different variety’s of tea. We started out trying a few different chocolates which all tasted so different, but it turned out they were all around 75% dark chocolate. We found out that they tasted so different just because the cocoa was from different countries. We then started trying chocolate and tea pairings. My favourite tea was the Garden Party Oolong tea, it was a floral and fruity blend and my favourite chocolate was the Praline’s. The event was really fun and interesting and we left with a goody bag with the most delicious chocolates and Easter tea, this tea even comes with little sugar bunnies in the tea leaves!

Have a look at their huge tea collection here.

Adexe Rose Gold Watch

I recently received this ADEXE watch from their newMini Sistine collection, I received the Rose Gold Sistine watch, you can also get this watch in silver, snow white or in a variety of strap colours with a silver case.

I love this rose gold colour and delicate design. Some watches can feel a bit chunky but this ones quite small and dainty and you can still see the watch face easily, so it’s ideal. It also comes with a little silver tool so you can adjust the length of the strap.

The watch design was inspired by the Sistine chapel, the most famous chapel in the world, located in the Vatican. The design and shape was inspired by the domed chapel.

Weekend in Guildford

For the Easter bank holiday, Sam and I went back home to Guildford to visit my Mum. It was such a good weekend, we ate way too much food and spent time relaxing but isn’t that what bank holidays are all about? Sam and I love Vietnamese food so we went to check out the new restaurant Pho, the dishes were really good and tasted fresh. I went for the broken rice bowl with pork and beef which was topped with veg and herbs, next time I visit I want to try out the chicken curry. We also went to the Cosy Club for lunch, their menu is amazing there’s so many dishes I want to try. I tried out their Falafel and Hummus sandwich with chips, which was delicious. Next time I visit I want to try out their cocktail collection. If you like Thai food I’d also recommend Giggling Squid in Guildford.

Petworth

Over the bank holiday weekend we visited Petworth house and park, the drive there was really nice, passing cute country lanes and old fashioned cottages. Once we arrived, we had a wander around the lake which was really pretty and peaceful.
