Things to do on a Day trip to Oxford, England
I finally got round to visiting Oxford and it was amazing. Oxford is known as the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ the buildings are so old fashioned and beautiful. I didn’t get to see everything I wanted as it was raining most of the day, typical British weather. Below are some of my photos.
We had cocktails at the Oxford Retreat pub, such a cute place by the river and close to the train station. It was also happy hour so was only £3 per cocktail, I had the vanilla swizzle it was sooo good.
I would definitely recommend going to the museum of Natural History as it’s free and has some really interesting things in a beautiful building.
We stopped of at Atomic Burger on Cowley road, the inside was designed with comic books on the walls, toys and a spiderman on the ceiling it was really retro and cool. I had the Frito Bandito mexican style burger with nachos, guacamole and sour cream it tasted amazing. Also had sweet potato fries which are my favourite.
Finally we stopped of at the Old Patsonage Hotel we had tea here, would have had the afternoon tea but was too full from the burger. Other people were having the afternoon tea and it looked amazing. Its quite a fancy hotel with a cosy fire and old pictures on the wall. Next time I go back to Oxford I will come here again, I will also go to the University and have a boat trip along the river. If you haven’t been to Oxford yet you definitely need to go there’s plenty to see and do.

Loved the photos, I visited Oxford myself this May, I really liked the place, with all the great buildings and parks. I found the cutest little hotel, and some great places to eat.

I remember going to Oxford once on a school trip, but I haven’t been back since, which is a shame as it’s not far from me. I’m going to have to go back after lockdown is over, if only to visit Atomic Burger! I went to the one in Bristol and loved it.
