Scala dei Turchi

Speaking of stunning backdrops it’s impossible to discuss Sicily’s most beautiful beaches without having Scala dei Turchi on the list! The name roughly translates as the Turk’s staircase, which refers to the area’s Arab history, and the incredible white rock formation that looks out over the sea. Those with young families can relax on the sandy beach and paddle in the shallow waters, but those looking for something a little more exciting might want to scale the staircase themselves and jump into the turquoise waves below!

Isola Bella

Get ready to take a lot of pictures on your trip to this iconic beach in Sicily. Literally, “Rabbit Beach”, this is actually on one of Sicily’s many surrounding islands, meaning you’ll have to put in a bit of travel time if you want to reach it. But trust me, it’s worth it! In fact Spiaggia dei Conigli has been voted as one of the worlds most beautiful beaches.  It is surrounded by a protected nature reserve and is the epitome of an island paradise with pristine white sand and turquoise waters.
