British Leeks Carbonara Recipe
I have teamed up with the British Leeks Growers Association to try out one of the recipes on their website. They support British farmers who grow leeks and I love supporting and buying local British produce. I also really like Leeks but I don’t normally cook them apart from occasionally in casseroles. Review – Cheerz Box Polaroid Photo Prints
I love taking photos but I end up having loads on my computer and I never do anything with them. When printing them out at home they always come out bad quality. This is where Cheerz saves the day they have an online photo printing service. You can choose to print your photos as polaroids, magnets, strips and posters. Italian Food Adventure & Competition
I was super excited to take part in the #ItalianFoodAdventure campaign with Inntravel. Inntravel have just launched a new holiday to Italy which covers walking, cycling and journeys in slow motion. One of the new holidays is called The Italian food adventure which is a self guided tour through the Emilia Romagna region. Visiting the beautiful cities of Parma, Modena and Bologna with an optional finale in Venice. This region is the birth place to some foodie faves such as Parmesan cheese, Prosciutto di Parma, & balsamic vinegar. Afternoon tea at Barnett Hill Surrey
For Christmas I bought my mum afternoon tea for two at the Barnett Hill Hotel. We both love going out for afternoon tea in Surrey. Barnett Hill is set in a beautiful hilltop location located 3 miles from Guildford town centre and 30 minutes from London. When we arrived we were taken to the library room filled with cosy sofas and overlooking the beautiful gardens. We had the option of tea and coffee, I went for tea and my Mum had the coffee. Jane Austen House Chawton, Hampshire
A few weeks ago I visited the Jane Austen House Museum in Chawton, Hampshire. This is the house where Jane Austen used to live. It’s located in such a lovely area, the village is so peaceful and quaint with lots of green space and cute thatched houses. Across the road is a pub which we had a cup of tea in, they also serve meals which looked pretty good. There is also an English tea room opposite but unfortunately it’s shut on Monday’s so we didn’t get to try it out. Free parking is available opposite the museum.
